Louis Vuitton SS19 Virgil Abloh Pop-up Store

 The Brief 

We were briefed to manufacture and install a temporary pop-up space located on Bruton Street, Mayfair, London, to showcase a selection of pieces from Virgil Abloh’s debut men’s collection for the Louis Vuitton brand.  

 The Details  

With a clear vision to emulate the ‘Wizard of Oz’ themed spring/summer 2019 menswear collection, 3WD managed the entire project from concept renders of the pop-up to supplying a full technical design service to plan and achieve this.  

 The rainbow illuminated pop-up was produced with an aluminium structure which held colour controlled LEDs within recesses around the internal framing. The LED’s illuminated from each edge through the machine-etched acrylic panels which sat in their own individual frames. The light from the LEDs caught the etch of every LV monogram to create that wow factor. 

 3WD took particular pride in creating this type of illumination on a large scale with careful planning of the wiring and cable management whilst keeping to the health & safety guidelines.
